Hello, future Panthers!
SO, as you know, a few days ago we had an unofficial "holiday" in the United States more formally known as the Super Bowl. As the Seahawks pummeled the Broncos, it wasn't much for excitement when it came to the game.
But let's be real here... How many of us ACTUALLY watch the Super Bowl for the game itself? I don't know about all of you, but my main attraction on this fabulous day each year is the food, and more importantly, the commercials!!
As this day is a large promoter to gorge on your favorite snack food and chicken wings, it is also a chance to get together with family and friends much like any of us would on a regular holiday! Football is the most popular sport in the nation, so it is no wonder that this event has become somewhat of a ritual in our culture. As for myself, I hung around with some of my sorority sisters and had a pot luck while many other groups of friends in the area and around the nation did the same exact thing.
In doing a little research, I found that the Super Bowl is the SECOND largest day of consumption second only to- wait for it-- Thanksgiving! Surprising right?
But lets get to the real excitement of the Super Bowl. The commercials! From a cameo of our favorite characters on Full House to a somewhat scary commercial illustrating the terror caused by the Doberhuahua (cross between a Doberman and Chihuahua). Whether you're with your family or friends or even both, the Super Bowl is no doubt a great time to get together to enjoy good company, good food, and fabulous commercials. Now, is it next year yet?
